大连智能交通网-智慧出行未来城市的轮廓

By analyzing this data over time, cities can identify patterns that might not be immediately apparent otherwise.

For example, by examining historical usage patterns of public transit systems like buses or trains across different routes within Dalian's Smart Traffic Network (STN), officials can better understand where resources should be allocated for expansion or improvements. They may discover an unanticipated surge in demand at certain times during weekdays when planning new bus schedules or adding more train cars during peak hours.

One notable case study involving Dalian's STN is its collaboration with China's state-owned railway corporation CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC) on developing cutting-edge rail technology designed specifically for high-speed rail networks serving densely populated urban areas like Dalian. As part of this project they implemented an innovative predictive maintenance system using IoT devices connected via 5G networks which reduced downtime by up-to 70%.
