Hot Elec Semiconductors: Unlocking the Massive Market Potential
The 2018 Hot Elec Semiconductors Forum, hosted by LG Innotek, took place on October 25th at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai. The event brought together over 300 experts and professionals from the hot elec semiconductors field to share their latest research and applications, with a focus on expanding China's market for these technologies. During the forum, OFweek interviewed CEO Park Jong-seok of LG Innotek, CTO Kwon Il-geun of LG Innotek, Dr. Lee Heung-yi of LG Innotek, and Dr. Bai Qiangsheng from the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics.
The interviews explored both cutting-edge hot elec semiconductors technology as well as its potential applications in various industries.
In an interview with OFweek during the event, CEO Park Jong-seok expressed his confidence in China's vast market potential for hot elec semiconductors and highlighted LG Innotek's efforts to prepare for this opportunity. By hosting this forum in China first among all global locations considered by them, they are demonstrating their commitment to fostering collaboration between industry partners across different sectors.
As reported by Dr. Lee Heung-yi from LG Innotek during his presentation at the forum:
The Hot Elec Semiconductor Technology is a revolutionary breakthrough that has opened up new possibilities.
Its nano-crystal material has a structure ten million times finer than human hair.
This unique structure allows it to achieve significant improvements in efficiency compared to traditional single crystal structures.
This innovative technology holds great promise for future developments in fields such as home appliances and automotive systems where energy efficiency is critical.
By leveraging this advanced technology through partnerships like those mentioned above (e.g., Korea Shipbuilding Corporation), we can work towards creating more sustainable solutions while reducing environmental impact—something that will only become more important moving forward into our increasingly interconnected world dominated by IoT devices!
